   Here are 5 tips from Operators to create a lasting impact with the Remarkable Futures Scholarship. Note: Once submitted, applications become the property of Scholarship America. We recommend Team Members share their applications with their Operators before submission.
4. Write thorough recommendations
   Operator recommendations are a significant portion of Team Members’ overall scores. Recommendations should include as much information as possible about their demonstrated leadership, contribution, work ethic, teamwork, and other positive attributes.
5. Watch out for Operator franchisee emails
   Stay informed about the latest information from Scholarship America and the Remarkable Futures team.
6. Have a plan for communicating with recipients and non-recipients
   Non-recipients should hear from you before notifications go out. Plan ahead to create a memorable celebration moment for your recipients.

Just a few things needed to be eligible:

• Be a Team Member at a Chick-fil-A branded or affiliated restaurant.
• Be a current postsecondary undergraduate or graduate students or planning to enroll in undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the Fall 2027 Term.

The Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarships will consider the following in selections:
$1,500 Scholarship:

• Recommendation. (Up to two).
• Consideration of length of employment
• Minimum 2.5 GPA out of 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated Care & Service.
• Must be attending an institution where student has a financial obligation

$25,000 Scholarship:

• Recommendation. (Up to two).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA out of 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated Care & Service.
• At least one year of employment with Chick-fil-A by January 1 following the application deadline.
• Pursuing first of degree type.*
• Must be attending an institution where student has a financial obligation.
• Must demonstrate financial need.**

*First of degree type: you have not previously completed a similar level degree (ex: first associate, first bachelors, first masters, etc.).

**Financial need calculation is similar to FAFSA and is determined by the information you provide in this section (verified by your uploaded documents).

If an applicant applies for the $25,000 Scholarship and is not selected, they will be considered for the $1,500 Scholarship.

An applicant may receive only one Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarship Award each application cycle.

Award recipients may only receive the $25,000 Scholarship once in recipient’s lifetime. $25,000 Scholarship recipients will also have the opportunity to participate in a one-year leadership development program facilitated by Chick-fil-A, Inc., which includes mentoring and professional development opportunities.

Scholarship America will select recipients of the $1,500 Scholarship and finalists for the $25,000 Scholarship.

The recommendation questionnaire is your opportunity to share how valuable they are to the success of your business.
Make it personal
We request that all recommendations be written and submitted by the Operator only.
Consider how this applicant stands out
In your recommendation, share their abilities, knowledge, commitment and goals.
Provide honest feedback
Your recommendation will only be viewed by Scholarship America’s selection team unless the applicant is being reviewed by an external selection committee for the $25,000 Scholarship.
Questions to consider

• How does this applicant work with others, guests and leadership?
• How would you rate or describe the Team Member’s overall job performance?
• Is this Team Member an asset to your business? If so, why?
• What are their strengths or areas of opportunity?
• How would this scholarship impact the Team Member?

Note: The recommendation will time out after 15 minutes of inactivity. Once submitted, recommendations cannot be reopened or edited.
Tip: Operator recommendations can be completed once applications are submitted. Encourage Team Members to apply early.
